Who we are
Walking on Water LTD (trading as Walking on the Water, “WonW”, “we”) is a company registered in England and Wales, with its registered office at 167-169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London, W1W 5PF. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this notice.
You can contact us about anything in this notice at hello@wonw.agency, or by writing to us at the address above.
The law we follow
We process personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR).
What we collect
When you complete our enquiry form we collect your name, email address, organisation, country, website (if provided), the nature of your enquiry, your message, and any budget or timeline indication you choose to share. We also collect limited technical data necessary to operate and secure the website.
We do not ask for special category data (including data revealing religious beliefs). Please do not include sensitive personal information about yourself or others in your message.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing or automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects.
- Responding to your enquiry — lawful basis: legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR), namely replying to business enquiries addressed to us.
- Discussing and delivering possible work — lawful basis: steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract (Article 6(1)(b)).
- Non-essential cookies and analytics — lawful basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) and PECR), which you may withdraw at any time.
- Legal, accounting and security obligations — lawful basis: legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)) and legitimate interests in protecting our systems.
Who we share it with
We share personal data only with service providers acting as our processors under written contracts: our website and database hosting provider, our email delivery provider, and professional advisers where required. We may disclose data where the law obliges us to do so.
International transfers
Some of our providers process data outside the UK. Where that happens, transfers are protected by UK adequacy regulations or by the International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, together with appropriate supplementary safeguards.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are retained for up to 24 months from your last contact with us, after which they are deleted, unless we have an ongoing relationship or a legal obligation (for example accounting records, kept for six years) that requires us to keep them longer.
How we protect it
Data is stored on access-controlled, encrypted infrastructure. Access is limited to those in our team who need it to respond to you.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- be informed about how your data is used;
- request access to a copy of your data;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- request erasure of your data;
- restrict or object to our processing, including processing based on legitimate interests;
- data portability; and
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out beforehand.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@wonw.agency. We will respond within one month.

You also have the right to complain to the UK supervisory authority, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF, telephone 0303 123 1113, ico.org.uk.
